Arts appreciation plus education

HKFYG Charity Auction
For the past two years, the Federation has held a Charity Auction of Chinese arts and artefacts to raise funds for youth services. However, the auction serves another purpose as well.

To complement the auction of so many high quality pieces from Lisa's Collection, the Federation is using the opportunity to create a learning platform for young people. They are invited to take a course given by Mrs Lisa Cheung Chung Lai-seung, to learn the inherent value of jade and ceramics, such as those
being auctioned, and to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history, culture and tradition that surrounds outstanding pieces. What adds to the knowledge and fun is that it also gives young participants the opportunity to take part in an actual auction.

This year's auction will be held on Sunday 9 December from 10am onwards, at the HKFYG Museum, 5/F, Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups Building, 21 Pak Fuk Road, North Point. You are also most welcome to the Preview on Saturday 8 December from 10am to 8pm at the same venue.

Do come and have a look. You never know, you might find the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one.
