Youth Matters
Opportunity compliments innovation

Simply put, innovation means introducing something new, and the latest Global Innovation Index*, in which Hong Kong ranks 8th of 141 countries, confirms that we have an environment that enables innovation.

Hong Kong needs young innovators and with this firmly in view Hong Kong's Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC) runs the annual InnoTech Month with HKFYG as campaign partner. The ITC is also our partner in the successful Innovation and Technology Award Scheme, with support from the Hongkong Bank Foundation. Both programmes provide opportunities for youth to build their potential for introducing something new.

Jeff Bezos, founder of Amazon, once said, "… the good thing is, with innovation, … every new thing creates two new questions and two new opportunities." In such a spirit of innovative optimism, Hong Kong's young and talented will take those 'two new questions' and produce clear answers that in turn stimulate innovation. All of you, our partners, can help them do this.
