Career Expos
Career expo relieves unemployment anxieties
Although unemployment among young people is dropping gradually there are
still nearly 9% of 15-24 year-olds out of a job, according to the latest statistics from the Census and Statistics Department.* With the recent implementation of the statutory minimum wage young people are anxious about their prospects. That's why we're very pleased that over 60 employers are advertising 4,000 vacancies for school leavers at the forthcoming HKFYG careers expo.

Summer jobs and paying internships will be an option for some young people but others will be seeking to enter the work force in full-time paid employment. When Hong Kong tops the list as China's most competitive city for the sixth year in succession, we want to help youth entering the workforce to maintain that competitive edge.

See Events for more details of the careers expo.
