HKFYG Youth Matters Issue 198
Green on Air
  New radio programme launch:
Green on Air
HKFYG's online radio, uChannel, is launching Green on Air next Monday in our latest effort to promote environmental protection. This programme, designed and produced by young people, will increase understanding of climate change and the steps that can be taken to combat it. The guests will be The Hon Edward Yau Tang-wah, JP, Secretary for the Environment, and Professor David Lung Ping-yee, SBS, JP, Chairman of the Environmental Campaign Committee.

These eminent speakers will be talking to forty youngsters about current policy and future projects to reduce both waste and the city's carbon footprint. Such issues will continue to impact seriously on the quality of life for the young for many years to come and there is a pressing need for them to grasp the urgency of the situation. The programme, which will be aired at 7pm on Tuesday 22 February, will be followed up with regular broadcasts that ring the environment alarm in the weeks to come. Contact Sing, tel 3755 7021 for more information or visit http://uchannel.hk/greenonair.htm.
