Help for Form 5 students: call 2777 1112 day and night all this week
For this year's cohort of Form 5 students, anxiety about exam results has been heightened by uncertainty about the future. While there appear to be more options for ongoing education, there is fierce competition for Form 6 places, as well as concern about the new secondary education system and the slim chances of repeating the HKCEE exams. The Federation is on standby throughout this week, offering guidance and support.

Students and parents need advice on the options. The dove-tailing of old and new systems, plus new subjects in the curriculum, mean it is more important than ever to be realistic and have clear goals. These are complex matters and we can help to provide information. The hotlines are open 24 hours a day, non-stop. 100 counsellors and trained volunteers have already handled over 5,800 cases and are taking queries day and night for 100 hours.
